Hypnotherapy creates sustainable growth and healing

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypno – A natural trance state is induced where the subconscious mind becomes fully aware, powerful and focused on the Hypnotherapists voice. The conscious mind is supressed momentarily.

Therapy – The seeds of new beliefs, concepts, habits, behaviours and thoughts are firmly planted into the subconscious mind.

Hypnotherapy is a technique for promoting healing or personal development growth. Hypnotherapy is a natural and relaxing process. Without realising, we are all in a natural hypnotic trance a number of times each day.  When we wake from sleep or fall asleep, daydream or driving on autopilot.  When the mind doesn’t have any particular thoughts this is a Hypnotic trance. It is naturally occurring and if needed you can easily bring yourself to full awareness as you would when you have to react to traffic whilst driving or answer your doorbell when you’re daydreaming. A client must be open to Hypnotherapy for it to work optimally.

What can Hypnotherapy help with?

Addiction | Weight loss | Anxiety | Mild Depression | Smoking cessation | Insomnia | Confidence boost | Performance enhancement | Imposter Syndrome | Self-belief | Self-worth Trauma | General health | Phobias | Fears

Process

A hypnotherapist will gently help you into a hypnotic trance through suggestions. The mind is naturally susceptible to suggestions. Suggestions are commands the subconscious mind responds and reacts to. You feel very relaxed and comfortable but not asleep. It is an effortless process. In the hypnotic trance state, the subconscious part of your mind is focused and optimised and ready to receive suggestions by the hypnotherapist.

The Alpha-Theta border is where your minds optimal range for reprogramming, visualising and using your creative powers.

Prior to your session, you can decide if you wish to have content free hypnotherapy. Content free simply means you can choose not to speak out loud during the session. You will have worked with your hypnotherapist to develop suggestions you would like to be programmed with. Suggestions can be new beliefs, habits, behaviours, or thoughts that result in you successfully achieving your desired outcome. A Hypnotherapist will re-programme your subconscious mind to give you the desired outcome. The subconscious mind is very powerful and will take on these new suggestions. In the subsequent days, weeks and months that follow clients find they effortlessly achieve the outcomes desired.

The five types of brain wave frequencies

Beta (14-40 Hz) Associated with a heightened state of alertness, critical thinking and logic and can also reach levels of stress, anxiety, fear and restlessness.

Alpha (7.5-14Hz) Alpha waves are present in deep physical and mental relaxation. Usually daydreaming or meditation states. It is the optimal state to programme the mind with positive thoughts, behaviours, and beliefs.

Theta (4-7.5Hz) Theta waves are present during light sleep, deep hypnosis and meditation. This is the realm of your subconsciousness.

Delta (0.5-4Hz) This is the deep sleep waves and also found in very deep transcendental meditation and hypnosis states. You are fully detached from awareness. This is your unconscious mind. This level of deep sleep is essential for deep healing and regeneration.

Gamma Waves (+40Hz) Research suggests Gamma waves are associated with bursts of insights and high level information processing.

Are there different types of Hypnotherapy?

Yes, there are a number of different types. Depending on a Hypnotherapist training, they can select the most suitable to your needs giving the best transformation. The most common types are:

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy

  • Solution-focused Hypnotherapy

  • Behavioural Hypnotherapy

  • Cognitive Hypnotherapy

  • Analytical Hypnotherapy

  • Regression Hypnotherapy

Is Hypnotherapy Safe?

Hypnotherapy is perfectly safe. It is simply a deep relaxed state. You are able to move, hear sounds and get up if you need to. You are completely in control at all times and your mind will only accept suggestions that are beneficial to you.

Is Hypnotherapy effective?

The Hypnotic state allows the conscious (logical/analytical) part of the mind to take a break. The therapist can then work with the powerful subconscious part of the mind. The subconscious part of the mind is a vault storing every single experience, belief, habit, behaviour and thought. The changes created in the subconscious mind are more impactful and powerful; the changes don’t rely on will power or logical reasoning. They are accepted and effective immediately.

Who can have Hypnotherapy?

Almost anyone. If you have Psychosis or certain Personality Disorders, then we have to exercise caution but it doesn’t rule you out.

Will Hypnotherapy work straight away?

The effectiveness of Hypnotherapy will vary from person to person based on the severity of issue(s). In most cases Hypnotherapy may take 3-5 sessions for a full and sustainable transformation.

I will give each client a recording from their session which I strongly suggest they listen to daily for a minimum of twenty-one days.

How will I feel after Hypnotherapy?

After Hypnotherapy you will feel wide-awake and positive.

What is accreditation with a professional body?

Accreditation with a professional body means the Hypnotherapist has achieved or exceeded a prescribed level of training. It also indicates agreement to code of ethics, principles and a set of standards.
